Rackspace

Racks in our data center in the Spanish Cube are standard 46HE (220 x 60 x 100 cm). Wider (80 cm) and/or deeper (120 cm) sizes are also available. You can choose whether to lock your racks with combination locks or SmartACCESS.

We also have a separate room in our data center to receive our customers’ newly delivered equipment. In this staging area, customers can unpack and prepare this equipment for installation in the data center. This prevents paper and cardboard from getting onto the data floor leading to unnecessary dust particles.

Power supply

The power supply for racks consists of two separate circuits that both supply 230 volts. The power is protected with 16 or 32 amp fuses and supplied single phase as standard. Three phase (400 Volt) can also be supplied on request.

Sustainable

Cooling takes place using outside air that we additionally cool by first atomizing it. With this KyotoColling, we keep CO2 emissions as low as possible and do not consume scarce tap water.

Security

Our data center offers guaranteed BORG 3 security (including 24/7 NOC). Access takes place according to an ISO 27001 certified access procedure. We use pass, face and fingerprint identification. Access is redundant so you can always access your equipment.

Fire Safety

Our main focus is to detect dust and soot particles as early as possible with Very Intelligent Early Warning (VIEW) smoke detectors and dual Very Early Smoke Detection Alarms (VESDA) systems with High-Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD). Of course, all data rooms have automatic fire extinguishing systems and forwarding to the fire department.

Surrounded by experts

There is always room for you and your IT staff to work in the data center. If you have a question or want advice, one of our employees is always nearby. They will be happy to help you. Moreover, if you choose a private cage, you can easily leave your auxiliary equipment behind.

Accessible, close and sustainable

From our regional data centers in Rotterdam and Groningen, we provide national coverage. For you, that means we are always close by. You have 24×7 access to your equipment. Do you need a pair of hands in the data center itself, for example to accept new equipment or reset a server? We’ll be happy to do that for you, saving you travel time and ensuring your equipment is safe in the hands of a professional.

Because IT now has such a big place in our daily and professional lives, we are very aware of the importance of uptime. But also of IT’s impact on the environment. As a data center, we want to use as little energy as possible. That’s why we cool the data rooms with outside air instead of tap water. We also use 100% green power and biodiesel for the emergency generators.

But it doesn’t stop there. Every day we are working to see how things can be even more sustainable. One of our measures is by keeping humidity as low as possible. The norm in data centers is 80%. We keep it within the range of 30% to 60% and a maximum of 70%. In this way, we slow down corrosion on your hardware. In addition to humidity, we closely monitor for dust particles and minimal temperature changes. With all these measures, we do everything we can to extend the life of your hardware. That’s good for you, but also for the environment!
