Reflecting on our impact

The two chosen charities for this year, the Hanze University Foundation and the Daniel den Hoed Family House, are initiatives with which we have been closely associated for many years. It’s heartening to see the tangible impact our donation is making.

Hanze University Foundation

The Hanze University Foundation is an organization dedicated to promoting vocational education for youth in developing countries. With our contribution, they can provide multiple scholarships to teachers from their partner universities in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. These scholarships enable the teachers to participate in the three-week Hanze Summer School program “Doing Business in Europe – with AI.” This program not only imparts knowledge in the field but also provides experience with the interactive teaching methods employed by Hanze.

Daniel den Hoed Family House

For over thirty years, the Daniel den Hoed Family House has provided a warm, temporary home for individuals facing challenging phases of their lives. By supporting the Family House, (cancer) patients and their loved ones can stay close to each other and close to the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute. With over 8,200 overnight stays this year and an occupancy rate of over 75%, it’s evident how valuable and necessary this ‘second home’ is for many.

Through these donations, we aim not only to contribute to the missions of these esteemed organizations but also to underscore the importance of supporting these sectors.
